Making more money is pretty high up on most people's list of goals/priorities.

Actually, it's not really money that people want. It's what they can buy with it. Whether it is nice food, clothes, travel or the perfect home.

More than anything else, people want freedom. Freedom to choose whether they get up with an alarm clock every day. Freedom to choose what they will do with their time, without worrying if they can afford it.

You can hope to win the lottery, but the odds are very much against you. Chances are that you will still be hoping for the rest of your life! It also seems that most people who win the lottery spend all the money within about two years. Two years! And then they end up right back where they started, or even worse off, because they are still paying for their new expensive lifestyle.

If you really want to be wealthy, then it makes far more sense to learn how to make more money. It is a learned skill, just like any other - but not one that they will teach you in school. Our education system only teaches you how to be an employee. That's great if your chosen career pays well and you enjoy doing it.
