Relaxation, meditation and hypnosis may sound a bit "new-agey" to some people, but if you wish to change your life - or any aspect of it - then you really need to work on your subconscious mind. It is the subconscious that controls personality and behaviour. If we try to change our behaviour without changing our attitude/feelings, then we will feel "wrong" and soon revert back to our old ways of behaving. We really need to "re-programme" our subconscious mind.
This is true when you are trying to become more successful in any area of your life - from losing weight to becoming more successful in business. How many times have you tried to change your behaviour and ended up reverting back to your "old self"?
To "access" our subconscious, we need to think in pictures and feelings. It does not understand words. That is the job of the "left brain". Although you can learn these techniques from books, I have found that audio programmes are often better at directing you in these behaviour-changing techniques.
Whether you want to stop smoking, lose weight or be more confident, there are lots of programes to choose from.
